Biopsy of the cervix
If an evident change at the colposcopy examination of the cervix, and after insight to PAPA finding, need for biopsy of the cervix might arise.
This intervention can be done with or without local anesthesia. The material is taken with a special instrument from an exactly determined place and is sent to histopathological examination in order to exactly define the changes. According to the finding, the treatment is cancelled or further surgical procedures are taken.
During the intervention – need for exploratory curettage of cervical canal might arise.
This intervention is short and recovery time is fast. It is necessary to avoid hard physical jobs and intercourse for a few days.
